. . . only McKinney can restore pride to the USA
As former Chair of the Iowa Hardin County Democrats, I have voted, spent my money, opened my home to every Democrat. As a liberal, I support an immediate withdrawal from Iraq, the rights of all women to determine the destiny of their bodies without the interference of men or other women, the need to ensure and escalate environmental causes so the planets remains green and healthy, the need to increase the standards of education, to end senseless posturing and rhetoric.
Unfortunately I have not heard (until today) of the presidential candidacy of Cynthia McKinney, and so, thoroughly disgusted with the hollow promises of Obama, the increasing war chant of McCain, and the spinelessness of the other candidates, endorsed Nader.
But I withdraw that endorsement as McKinney has a more solid platform, greater rhetorical skills coupled with intellectual capacity to fashion and push through workable solutions, and can restore financial and human rights credibility to the USA.
Leaving the USA in 2005 to escape the lies, destortions, and attacks on human rights (from Gitmo to Abu Ghriab prison), the soaring rate of the use of torture (especially waterboarding) and the assault on men, women, old, young, and the infirmed by the Bush Administration--which is grounds to send Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Gates, Gonzales, and others to the World Court to be tried on charges of crimes against humanity--and when found guilty to suffer the penalties for their henious crimes, I know only McKinney can restore pride to the USA. Living in Peru, and traveling throughout the Latin American world, I know first hand that the USA is the most hated nation in this part of the earth. I want that to stop, and a reason to return to the USA. Only McKinney can bring that about. Therefore, I endorse McKinney to be the next president of the USA.
