New 9-11 investigations
Dear Cynthia,
Thank you for having the courage to run for the Green presidential canidate. Your video speech is great and the Green's platform is really what most of want if the general public would take the time and check it out.
For a long time I've admired you for standing up and speaking out about the stolen 2000 presidential election.
To this day, most people don't realize that our democracy was taken from us when the Florida election's board disenfrachised 58,000 voters by removing them from voter rolls in a deliberate and criminal way. To add insult to injury the Supreme Court validated the theft and ushered in the Bush dictatorship. I also admire the way you spoke truth to power when you questioned defense Secretary Rumsfeld about the trillions of tax dollars that the pentagon has "misplaced". You asked all the right questions to Rumsfeld and Joint Chief Myers about the war games that the military were running on 9-11 and why standard operating procedures were not executed that day allowing the attacks on the WTC and the pentagon. I hope you are elected the Green canidate and you get out there and speak truth to power again and let the democrat and republican canidates know that the American people want a new 9-11 investigation. I believe, only in this way will the the American people get justice and our democracy back.
Sincerely,
John T.
I wanted her to win.
She was transparent. Natural. Unpretentious. Emotional at times. She bristled at fake pleasantries. She punished snideness with shocking bluntness. She could smell ulterior motives from a mile away and yearned to expose them. She locked onto every destructive pretention like a heat-seeking sidewinder, and she never requested clearance to fire. She did all of this in pursuit of truth and justice in government.
And I saw underlying importance in her controversial questions. I wanted to see them answered. I thought she deserved the chance to carry the fight to those who would flout justice. I wanted to watch her continue to break down the petty pretentions, to tear down the fancy facades, and to uncover the flowery beds of thorns that were making life miserable for so many vulnerable and dispossessed people. I wanted her to win.

Great Guest
I am part of a production team that recently interviewed Cynthia for a public television/webcast program, so 1st a disclaimer...
We were not hired by her campaign.
Quite to the contrary.
We sought out Cynthia McKinney for her position on the many impeachable offenses of the Bush Administration, and not only did she graciously agree to join us , but she could not have been a more well-informed, passionate American Patriot fighting for ALL OF US, rich and poor, who hold dear our Constitutional guarantees to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and who recognizes that a just and level playing field is needed in this country, for the American Dream to AWAKEN from it's American Nightmare of the past 7 1/2 years under this present Administration.
While the citizens-for-impeachment group that I'm with does not officially endorse candidates for public office, I personally would like to thank and commend Cynthia McKinney for fighting for the rights of ALL Americans, of all colors, especially for those who suffer injustices at the hands of 'less-than-just' systems of government.
If and when a 3rd party emerges that can actually win a General Election in this 2-party 'rigged-by-the-defense-contractors-who-own-the-mass-media' system, if she's still available to vote for, it would be awfully difficult NOT to vote for one Cynthia McKinney... for President of the United States.
Thanks again for being such a true Patriot, Cynthia!

Hello. I registered as a
Hello. I registered as a Democrat this year to vote in the Primary elections. At the start of this long campaign process when people were excited about the possibility of a woman President, I would comment, I am all for a female president but Cynthia McKinney is not running this year.
Imagine my surprise to learn a week or so ago that you did indeed throw your hat in the ring.
I have already contacted the DNC to tell them I will never vote Democrat again if all they can offer us is an 1/2 impeached ex-president as First Man in the White House. I did register Republican once to vote against George Wallace. I am not a party person but vote for candidates, as some say, wasting my vote by voting for a 3 (or more party) system.
I can not promise a vote in November because I feel getting the unbendable Republicans out of office gives the country the best hope of citizens taking back the government. I do know that if Senator Clinton gets the Democrat nomination I will not be voting for her.
Vice President Rev Al Sharpton
What would be the possibility of a McKinney/Sharpton ticket in 2008?
I happen to think this would be the dream ticket.
I have heard that it would be good to see a Clinton/Obama ticket, but that would be just for the sake of history. (That would be a little cheap.)
You want to make real history. How about instead of the first woman president & first African American vice president, let’s go for broke and have the FIRST African American president and FIRST African American vice president.
THAT WOULD BE HISTORY BABY!
Let’s get some feedback, what does everyone else think?
McKinney 08
I like the idea of Cynthia running with Sharpton too, or anyone she chooses. I remember her courage. There were fourteen members of the House on January 6, 2001 who stood up to refuse those Florida electors. How sad that no Senator stood with those courageous souls, mostly African American, with two white and one Hawaiian. The GOP had stolen that election fair and square right out from under America. This will continue unless we have someone like Cynthia, who is not afraid to ask questions. John Kerry ran off into the night in 04, and I am afraid Obama would follow in his footsteps because I am afraid Kerry and Obama value their careers above democracy. Not so with Cynthia. The other day, I said I was choosing Hillary, but not Obama because I did not think his actions matched his rhetoric. My friend said "Do you know Cynthia McKinney is running?" That was it. I sent a donation to Cynthia right away and I would support her regardless of who her running mate is. Yes, I want a woman president if possible, but better yet is an African American woman who has lived through the civil rights struggle and is still fighting for all. I am white and it would thrill me to have an African American woman president, but especially McKinney as president because I was sickened by that supression of the black vote in Florida in 2000 and that was just the icing on the cake to the junk that I think blacks, especially woman, have gone through. I called Zell Miller's office when Cynthia was being railroaded for asking the question Americans have wanted to hear...the 911 question of what happened and how this tragedy happened. I told him that I believe Cynthia. I said I was going to remember that. I wish the other candidates would talk about real issues like that.
Cynthia: I love you Sister!
Cynthia: I love you Sister! You keep doing what you are doing and fight the good fight. You have my vote.
Great Video!
Whether or not you become the national Green Party candidate, your video (with some minor editing) should be the recruiting and welcome video for the Green Party nationwide!
debates
Would love to see a three-way, nationally-televised presidential debate between Green Candidate Cynthia McKinney, Republican Candidate Ron Paul, and Democratic Candidate Dennis Kucinich.
How 'bout contacting their campaigns to see if they'd go for it?
I'm excited
I'm excited to hear that Cynthia has decided to run for President as a Green. I heard Cynthia speak in Tucson, AZ and I was very impressed. I am excited that the Greens have such a knowledgeable, authentic, passionate, and conscious candidate running for the party's nomination. I am confident that Cynthia will secure the party's nomination and I look forward to supporting her during her campaign.

You Have My Vote!!
Dear Cynthia, This is a day we've been waiting for! Yours is a clear call to conscience. I hope you go all the way!
An Ideal Choice for President
Over the years, I can’t count the number of times when my wife and I would be watching some more bad news coming out of our nation’s Capitol and watching the disappointing performance of many of our so-called representatives in Congress and saying to ourselves, “Well at least Cynthia McKinney is in there fighting the good fight.” And I can’t count the number of times when I’ve sighed, and said, “Boy I sure wish Cynthia McKinney would join the Green Party!”
Now she has come to do that – and in doing so, she has found her true political home, a place where she and her politics will be appreciated. I am gratified and elated that she has seen fit to join us. For so many years, she has been fighting for us. Now I am ready to fight for her – and I appeal to Illinois Greens and the voters of Illinois to join me in the fight to get her elected as our next President of the United States.
Cynthia brings a new dimension to the Green Party -- a proven track record of solid progressive leadership in the struggles for democratic empowerment, civil rights and liberties, for labor, for peace, for health care, for social justice, for the environment. Just like she has stated about the Green Party, she, too, has "walked the talk." Like the rest of us, she is no aloof "politician"; she is a fearless fighter for the people.
I love Ralph Nader and I love David Cobb. But Cynthia McKinney brings us the name recognition and credentials of a Nader -- plus actual experience in government -- and adds to that the same commitment to building this party that we saw with David Cobb (but was somewhat lacking in Nader, as we saw in 04).
This is a great day for the Green Party. Let's roll up our sleeves, build this campaign, build this Party -- and elect a President who stands with the people!

your campaign...
I'm actually a Ron Paul supporter and was recently thinking "I hope Ron gets the republican nomination and runs with Cynthia McKinney."
I'm glad you are running. It lets some of my American pride shine through to know that there is someone else who has a good heart and has not been purchased by corporate interests fighting for this country at a presidential level.
Keep bringing the real issues in this country to the forefront of the media and the publics eye and good luck with your campaign. Good luck getting on the ballots too. I'll help if I can :)
Green means go
I couldn't be more excited. Fight the good fight, Cynthia.
